Launched with great success in Sydney in April 2013, the Too Big To Ignorecampaign marks a turning point for the 2 million small business people who employ over 7 million fellow Australians, and who, for too many years, have been overtaxed, overregulated and overlooked by government.

About the 'Too Big To Ignore' Campaign

There are over 2 million small businesses in Australia, employing over 7 million people. That’s over 60% of our workforce. Yet, for too many years, small business has been overtaxed, overregulated and overlooked by government.

The upcoming Federal election presents small business with a rare opportunity to get on the political agenda. But, small business is, by nature, small. The only way they can make a big enough noise to be heard in Canberra is to bring all those small voices together.

This campaign has been developed to do just that. By uniting the many small voices of small business all round the country, the aim is to show politicians that, together, small business is too big to ignore.

If you’re a small business operator, if you work for one, if you care about small business or if you dream of one day opening one of your own, the Too Big To Ignore campaign and website is for you.

It’s your voice, your forum and your opportunity to help ensure small business gets the fair go it deserves.

The BIG 4 You Can't Ignore

The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has revealed the 'BIG 4 You Can't Ignore' policy platform at the National Press Club in Canberra.

They have listened to small business and found the BIG 4 You Can't Ignore are:

  • Cut down on the RED TAPE
  • Simplify the TAX SYSTEM
  • Make it easier to EMPLOY PEOPLE
  • Build better INFRASTRUCTURE

By raising public awareness of these issues and the campaign among small business owners like you, they aim to place you in the driving seat to shape this important debate.
